Republic
I finally finished Plato’s Republic. It only took eight months (or so). And Simon Blackburn has written this piece on the Republic.

I'm impressed! What I should have listed under 'one book you've been meaning to read' is Paradise Lost by John Milton. I've been trying to read that forever but have never come close to finishing. I had an English prof who carried it around like his second Bible.
