Airplane and car manufacturers are designing bigger seats to accomodate larger bodies. Pew makers might have to follow this trend. (Link)

A skinny, Christian friend of mine once commented on how frequently the presence of food at spiritual occasions was mentioned in the Bible, from Adam and Eve's forbidden fruit in Genesis through to the wedding supper of The Lamb in Revelation. He blames this for his reasoning behind offering peanut butter and toast to everyone who attendeds Bible study at his house.
I've noticed that his favorite brand of peanut butter is Adam's. Hmmmm...
Of course they managed to burn those calories better back then (no cars...just a lot of walking). I suspect that even riding a mule or camel would burn some calories.
